Make a Frienship Bag to send to your partner.

Rachel Griffith put together this fabulous tutorial to get you started. You can use her design or come up with something else on your own. The finished size of your friendship bag should be a similar in size as the sample, i.e. 5″ high, 5.5″ wide, 3″ depth.

Have some fun with this, be creative, add buttons, beads, and other embellishments. Try a new technique or an old favourite. Moda Bakeshop recently posted a Charmed Gift Bag that finishes close to the same size.

It’s a mystery swap, so please don’t tell your partner who you are in advance, but go ahead and post pictures of your progress on your blog and on the Flickr group.

When you’ve mailed your quilt, send me an email with your name and your partner’s name, so that I may keep track of the progress.

Registration closes August 20th. Partner information will be sent by August 25th. The deadline to mail your friendship bag is October 6th.
