Please read this blog post before proceeding. It contains several useful tips on how you can help me cut the administrative time spent managing the swaps.
Guidelines
Make a Fall-inspired mini quilt to send to your partner. Follow the theme of the swap, i.e. fall, autumn, harvest, halloween, Thanksgiving, etc. in some way.
It can be pieced, appliqued, or both. The quilt must be bound, (not pillow-turned and no zig-zagged edges) and made with good-quality fabrics. It should be washable; however, if your design will not be washable, please check with your partner before proceeding.
Any preferences your partner entered when they registered for the swap will be sent to you. Make something you’d love to receive and, chances are, your partner will love it too.
Minimum size is 12″x12″ and the maximum size is 24″x24″, any size or shape in between. Don’t forget to add a label to your mini quilt and a note with your name and email address clearly written so that your partner may thank you for the quilt.
It’s a mystery swap, so please don’t tell your partner who you are in advance (except as noted above), but go ahead and post pictures of your progress on your blog and on the Flickr group.
When you’ve mailed your quilt, send me an email with the swap name, your name and your partner’s name, so that I may keep track of the progress.
Please, if you sign up to participate, follow through. It would be a shame for someone else not to get a wonderful mini quilt in the mail.
Registration closes October 24th (no late additions). Partner information will be sent by October 28th. The deadline to mail your mini quilt is January 18th, 2010.
