What is your quilting style?
I would call myself a vintage modern quilter. I love to take vintage quilt designs and piece them in modern, bright fabrics.
How did you get started quilting and/or designing?
I spent a lot of time with my grandmother when I was younger. She taught me to quilt and crochet. I didn’t begin making my own quilts until after my first son was born. He is 6 now.
Do you have a favourite quilt?
I try not and get too attached to the quilts I make. I give most of them away after they’re finished. My current favorite, though, is the Modern Solids quilt from the quilt along I hosted for Patchwork Squared.
Quick and fun questions:
- Favourite colour: Blue
- What part of the quilting process do you like the most? Designing and piecing
- What part of the quilting process do you dislike the most? Cutting the fabric!
- Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, or: Peanut Butter Cup!
- Favourite quote or mantra: "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." – A. A. Milne
