For this week’s Delightful Stars Quilt-Along (DS QAL) lesson we are making one of the largest star blocks in the quilt. This is Block #14:
While a large block, the construction isn’t any more difficult than the star blocks we’ve already made. I chose to use three prints plus background for my version. This block would look great with more prints/colours used too.
Here are my first six blocks, I’m loving how they are coming together:
Next week will be the tutorial on paper piecing and will include four sample blocks. There won’t be a star block next week, so if you’re already familiar with paper piecing, then it’s a great opportunity to catch up if you’re behind or to work on your border blocks.
