3 Geese By: Persimon Dreams,
Wisconsin, USA
Inspired by the Project QUILTING challenge – Primary Geese. I had to use primary colors and flying geese. The brown squares all have three dimensional ‘lips’ of fabric on them to add yet another element. This runner was fun to make and challenging to get the piecing accurate.

African flying geese By: Linda Izzard,
Australia
My mother embroidered the African animals for me, as a surprise. They are so beautiful, and I decided to use them all in a quilt. I thought the African print fabrics would make great flying geese and they would emphasis the embroideries. Just made it up as I went along really.

African safari By: Debbie Lange Quilting,
Indiana, USA
This quilt evolved. I started with Four Patch Posie center blocks and thought the result was uninteresting so I sashed them with bright solid colors. Then I added Flying Geese to the sides turning them into Star blocks. The white between the stars was too “white” so I sashed them with black batik.

Duck a L’orange By: Karen H,
Ontario, Canada
The goose/duck fabric, blue rays & a rust fabric were part of a challenge. I added four more fabrics. The geese/ducks were my inspiration for the circle of flying geese which I drafted. The quilt is embroidered, beaded & shaded with watercolour paints. The bottom edge is a hand beaded fringe.

Flight of the Seagulls By: Carolyn Braun,
New Jersey, USA
There are 6 sizes of geese in the quilt. Some are paper pieced, some are pieced using the quick geese method, and the few lonely ones are pieced with scrap triangles. I quilted the quilt with a wave pattern. The geese go all different directions in the quilt which remind me of seagulls a the beach.

Flying By the Seat of My Pants By: Sandi,
Wisconsin, USA
I made this quilt a couple of years ago for a swap called Modify Tradition. I used a one-seam flying geese technique that resulted in three-dimensional folds. The fabric has birds on chairs, which is how I came up with the name “Flying By the Seat of My Pants.”

Proud to be Canadian By: Peggyp,
Ontario, Canada
I saw this pattern and thought it was a beautiful tribute to Canada. I searched high and low for the fabric line, which was discontinued by then, and found most of it at various shops. It incorporates 3-D flying geese, the first time I have tried this.
The pattern is by Sipiweske Quilt Designs.

Racing Geese By: Melanie Jackson,
Oklahoma, USA
This was a challenge at quilt camp a couple of years ago. We were given a bag of strips and a certain amount of time to make something. This is what I came up with. I’m not sure of the exact measurements, because I couldn’t find this ufo in my UFO box (been cleaning).

Wild Goose Chase (Debbie Rogowski) By: Debbie Rogowski,
Texas, USA
This is my first goose quilt and I sure went all the way. I found the pattern in a magazine but the instructions were old and out dated. I made a few mistakes, but will now know better next time. Even though I don’t like orange, this is for my granddaughter, I really have grown fond of it.

This was my challenge quilt which must include 3 flying geese blocks. My quilt is of a little girl chasing a real wild goose. It was inspired by seeing the wild geese fly in autumn and a real goose in a parking lot when my daughter was young.

Some Midwinter Red my absolute current favorite fabrics collection.
Thanks for the chance to win! I have a pattern for a batik quilt, so I would probably buy fabric for that.
Good luck Vicki. The fabric I would chose would be batiks.

Good luck Vicki. Great job!
Midwinter Reds! I love the fabric but am on a shopping diet.
What fabric would I choose? What a hard question. First thoughts – Stonehenge, or Snowmen Gatherings or anything patriotic or Christmas. Good thing I don’t have to decide now.
I adore Hexies on the Fly. The color combination is soothing even though it’s a very “busy” quilt, and the precision is great. How I wish I had the patience to make something that intricate!
I love the Hexies ON The Fly…Colors are wonderful …Wished I had the talent for making a great quilt..I have made 3 and they are ok ..not professional at all but my family loves them
It was hard to pick one quilt, glad that we could vote for three. If I was to order something, I definitely would order to the do-it-yourself fabric, how darling. It would make a beautiful little quilt.
I say I would order some solids – bella – but don’t hold me to it I always change my mind once I really get looking.
!Me gusta mucho participar, para que el resto de las quilteras vean nuestros trabajos!
Probably batiks. I love batiks!
Lush Uptown!!
I voted…I would spend the money on some yummy sale fabrics!
Voted, and Lush Upton !!!!!
I voted. I love Midwinter Reds. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I love being able to vote. It brings back to me that everyone is different and how interesting that makes a common theme. Flying Geese are one of my most favorite blocks. Thank you.
Moda! Moda! Moda! Anything Moda!
There’s so many great quilts this week it was hard to pick. Tons of creative quilters out there! If I were to win this week it would be hard to choose from the great selection of fabrics that Fatquartershop has to offer. But I’ve really been drooling over Scrumptious, and Bake Sale….hard to choose!
I’d like to get some fabric from the “S’more Love” collection.
So hard to choose, all so beautiful. Congradulations to all great job. Such beautiful work!!!!
Thanks for the chance. I am crossing my fingers to win some Christmas themed fabrics.
If I win I will buy batiks. It’s no contest.
If I win I’ll buy the fat quarters that call out the loudest to me. I find that most of my fat quartr purchases are on a whim. I’m looking for that fabric I need to finish something up, and a totally different style ends in my bag! Good luck to everyone!
I voted. I would love some Midwinter Reds. Such beautiful fabrics :-)
I like all the quilts this week!
If I win the give-away I like a Jelly Roll with Kona Cottons in all colours. Greetings from Germany!

I too would buy more Lush Uptown, now I have an idea for a mini quilt using it and flying geese, so thank you!
Even with three votes it was so hard to choose, glad im not a judge lol. I love acacia and joel dewberry babscorbitt@ gmail dot com
I voted! I’d probably get some Batiks, I just can’t get enough.
I should buy solids as background – I love the new lines, but I have too many bright and vivid fat quarters already! I need to tie them together.
There are some fun quilts in that collection. I managed to choose just 3 though.
I love the modern yet traditional feel of “Geese Fly South”. This is a pattern to try. Congrats to the maker!
I would get more batiks :-)
Flying geese are my favorite ! I would by some Acacia by Tula Piink .

I’d stock up on some sketch basics
All lovely quilts but did pick my favorite one.
If I win…the fabric would be picked to make the quilt I voted for. It is perfect for my bed room.
Thanks
