So many gorgeous entries!! Hard to choose just one, but I must say I’m partial to hand applique. That narrowed it down some.

Congratulations to all for your patience. I love applique, especially done by hand, but it’s time consuming!

I have voted, but there are some truly wonderful quilts and some very talented people. Congratulations to everyone!

  • April 10, 2011 at 6:21 pm

Well, this was the hardest one yet to cast a vote for just one! I wanted to vote for six of them and recognised names of quilters I’ve come to know here in Blogland. They are all lovely. I was taken by the Kokeshi Dolls quilt, though. Forty one years ago at this time, I was just days away from giving birth to our first child, daughter Collette, born in Tachikawa, Japan. We were there while my husband was in the Air Force and I loved the little Kokeshi dolls and bought several that Collette has in her sewing room, a reminder of where she was born but a place she will likely never return to. I thought they were so well done and while not a traditional applique like Baltimore blocks, the work was lovely. :-)

  • April 10, 2011 at 11:05 pm

I cannot find out where to cast my vote. All of the entries are gorgeous, but I wanted to vote for Koeshi dolls but I can’t vote. I clicked the button that said to go to the blog page to vote, but it brings me to the same page.
