This is a baby quilt was made just in time for a new arrival. I have used the Alphabet panel and then added some solid royal blue and red boxes to give a red/blue step down pattern. I used a navy pin stripe fabric for the backing. For quilting I used my Husqavarna SE inbuilt stitches.

Baby Goes to Town Baby Goes to Town
By: Mary Lou Casada, Kentucky, USA

A friend’s daughter had a child, and as I am invariably late, I didn’t get the new infant’s quilt ready. So I made a larger quilt for when the baby was a little older! Sadly, the quilt was destroyed in a house fire. So glad I have a picture of it! It was my first “original” design. :-)

Hurricane Phillip Hurricane Phillip
By: Amy Gay, Louisiana, USA

While waiting for my son to make his appearance, I decided to make him a quilt. A small Hurricane was headed into the Gulf, and I’d hoped the low pressure would induce labor. I noticed a “Snail Trail” block looked a LOT like a hurricane! So I modified it. In this picture, he is 12 hours old.
