Birch woods By: Marian Walters, Illinois, USA This is one of my first attempts at a quilted postcard. But I am also learning to do art quilts, so I combined them into one. I had just trimmed a bunch of batik fabric, and had these tiny snips of fabric laying around, and the owl fabric, when the idea of using the fabric snips as feathers came to me!! Hummingbird By: Holly McLean, New Brunswick, Canada I love to watch the hummingbirds every year at my feeder. This piece was mono printed on a gelatin plate with a mask used for the bird. i painted it with Inktense pencils.
