Poppies By: Penelope Globe, Ontario, Canada The poppies were painted with fabric paints and appliqued on the hand dyed background. The background is hand quilted which you cannot see in the photo. Women of Grace & Charm Block for my Mom By: Phyllis Carlyle, Missouri, USA Mom was an officer in the Navy during WWII. 8 years ago, the Kansas City Star did a BOM on “Women of Grace & Charm” honoring 12 women WWII vets.
