I love blue and white dishes! I have my grandmother’s Blue Willow dishes. I also have a set of blue Currier and Ives dishes and a set of Yorktown dishes by Pfaltzgraff. I wanted to make a blue and white tablerunner to go along with all of my dishes. The tumbler pattern was easy and fun.

I really like doing the ONE BLOCK Wonder technique, this gorgeous carinal christmas fabric I saw at a local quilt store, I ONLY bought 6 repeats for it, so I didn’t know how big it would get, so I made the hexagons and laid them out and decided on a table runner.

This runner is made from a pattern by John Adams from Fat Quarterly magazine. I had been saving my collection of Japanese indigo linens purchased in Tokyo by a colleague about 8 years ago. Finally, this pattern spoke to me! I hand quilted dragonflies and did some simple machine quilting as well.

The pattern was for Sarah Whitney at Quilt Patterns from Sweet Clover Canyon. I really liked the fabric that Sarah provided it was Benartex Noel. The pattern was easy to follow and the tablerunner turned out great!

I have never followed a table runner pattern, and thought what the heck. The pattern is Hollywood Boulevard by Atkinson Designs. I just pulled some fabric from my stash at 3:30 in the morning on the coolest day so far this year. Love it!

Saw this fabric and fell in love with it when I was at a quilting conference in Cairns, a very tropical city in Queensland Australia. The gold swirls against the pink hydrangeas just looked gorgeous and I couldn’t resist.

I started this year a new project with my quilt group. It was farmer’s wife. I wasn’t total happy with this project because I have several other sampler’s and vintage projects still being an WIP or even an UFO. So to finish this one, I made only 4 blocks and turned it into a table runner.

Spicy Spiral is a pattern by School House Quilts. It uses the 25” 9° wedge ruler by Marilyn Doheny. Using the ruler, putting this tablerunner together is a so easy. The hardest part is figuring out how to quilt it! This one is made width 8 batiks.

I pieced all the points by hand on my travels then completed the blocks at home. I made a smaller version for my mother to hang on the wall as she loved it so much. It is long arm machine quilted. It goes so well with the colors of my dining room chairs.
