Quilted Bag Catcher By: Amanda Stanley, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada This is a new use for a mini quilt! By sewing a little strip of fabric on the top and bottom with some elastic and sewing the quilt into a sock you get a pretty bag catcher! Selvage flower By: May Britt, Norway This was a challenge between me and two other friends. All we got was a button and some lace. I have used selvages to make the ground. Also added words from selvages to make the quilt interesting. It is so fun using selvages this way. Do not throw your selvages away….use them :) Quilt size: width: 8" height: 8" |

Shirts for Stavros By: Doodlebug Gail, Ontario, Canada This quilt is made from size XXXXL flannel shirts. They were a very high quality cotton and were a treat to work with. Cutting the shirts apart was time consuming but each shirt yielded a lot more fabric than I’d anticipated ….. there are a lot of scraps to make more quilts like this one! The Denim Quilt By: Shruti, India This Quilt was made for a friend of my husband. He had given me 12 jeans that belonged to his wife, which did not fit her any more. I cut them up into pieces 6″ x 6″. In all I used 176 pieces from the jeans and 20 12″ x 12″ pieces of recycled linen. The backing is recycled Bed Sheet. Quilt size: width: 108" height: 108" |
