How does the quilt-along work? Over a 12-week period, 36 fabulously talented designers will be making 12″ blocks that you can make. You can pick and choose which blocks you want to make. Sash them, add borders, baste it, quilt it, and have it ready to give-away or keep for yourself this Christmas. Or you might want to use some of the blocks for a mini quilt, a table runner, bags, whatever you like.

What is your quilting style?
I love romance and it reflects in all my quilts. I love using soft and bright florals and prints with delicate designs. I love piecing and appliqué – all types.
How did you get started quilting and/or designing?
I’ve always loved sewing and couldn’t wait to start quilting. I attended many classes when I first began and one of my teachers asked me to stop changing her designs and make my own – so I did! I love every part of the process from inspiration to the final binding.
Do you have a favourite quilt?
I have many favorites, but I truly love “Charade” It is a special quilt for me as I accomplished a mystery teaching class and won a contest at the same time with this quilt. But more than that, I love the colors and the design together – its just a happy quilt!
Quick and fun questions:
- Favourite colour: yellow and red (too close to call)
- What part of the quilting process do you like the most? Love the inspiration of a new design!
- What part of the quilting process do you dislike the most? Writing the pattern, the detail is important, but tedious.
- Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, or: Chocolate all the way!
- Favourite super hero or comic book character: Don’t have one, but Superman looks great in tights!
- Most exciting place you’ve travelled: Yosemite – peaceful and pretty!
- Favourite quote or mantra: "Be yourself, nobody does it better"
