Two mirror image angel banners hang in our sanctuary during the Advent/Christmas season on both sides of wreath. Wings are sheer silver fabric, texture and gathers created with sequins and beads. Silk for hands, face and hair. Lame for trumpets. Twinkling organza stars accented with beads & sequins

From Janet Kimes’ book, “Christmas Cats and Dogs”, this quilt was made for a doll quilt swap at Doll Quilters Monthly. The tails are paper-pieced while the remainder is traditional piecing. I used hot fix nailheads for the eyes and metallic thread for the faces.

This quilt was a lot of new patterns and techniques for me …giant dahlia pattern for the center, ribbon border, black background and backing, and heavily quilted with black thread. I machine pieced using pretty Christmas fabric, and it is heavily quilted with feathers, circles, and parallel lines.

Started off as my Bee quilt on , with a handful of blocks from my hive mates. I wanted the blocks to have a red strip through the middle to read as if Santa (or Rudolph!) were whizzing around the world!! The quilt ended up growing as I added more Christmas strips!

I sketched this in the middle of the night – then brought it to life over a few weekends. I used fusible fleece for the snow, and love the way it turned out! I made a scalloped border at the bottom, then sewed prairie points in between.

    I think all of the quilt are beautiful, so many different styles and everybody did a fantastic job.
    But when I think of what is my personal favorite I vote for Owl be home for Christmas! ( love the name!)

    It is fun to see the different styles of Christmas quilts and very hard to choose between the styles. I am always drawn to star quilts and the dahlia quilt is one of my favorites. Thank you for this opportunity to win.

    What a wonderful display of quilts, good luck to all that entered! I love seeing all the Christmas quilts, but who isn’t ready for the springtime with all the pretty flowers. Won’t be long!     Wow–some really beautiful work! I am sad to see this challenge ending, it was always my goal to enter sometime. But, I guess that would have meant actually finishing something! LOL I can’t wait to see what is in store for next year.

    All of these quilts are fantastic! I just love the Owl and Sun Balls! For my “coming soon” choice I would pick Fox Fields by Tula Pink. I love all of her stuff. There were 3 or 4 more that I’m sure I will just have to have as well! Thanks for the chance to win!
