Last Tuesday, the mailman brought many goodies… it felt like Christmas morning! LOL
First up, fat quarters of Flock by Thomas Knauer. I won these in a give-away he had on his site. The catch is, I must use some of the fabrics to make a quilt for Victoria’s Bumble Beans BASICS.
I have had a pattern in my brain for months now, and I think these fabrics will be perfect for it. The background is cream, and I love how they look with white accent fabric.
Next up, Bev sent me her Fussy Cut 3 in 1 tool to try. It is such a clever idea! I’ll have to come up with the perfect project to give it a work out. In the meantime, check out the video that explains all that this little tool does far better than I could.
Summertime reading … the wonderful folks at Martingale sent me some new books to review. I’ve flipped through all of them quickly and I am really looking forward to reading them. With so many fabulous choices, which one do I choose to read first? I’ll share each book over the summer with you and there will be give-aways too!
Last but certainly not least .. these lovely fabrics arrived from Moda. They’ll be used for the upcoming Learning Center beginner’s quilt-along that Pat Sloan and I will be hosting. More details about the QAL will be available this week. I’m so excited!!
Fabric is Coquette by Chez Moi… it’ll be arriving in stores in about a month or so. I fell in love with this amazing floral .. isn’t it spectacular? This will be used as the large border on my quilt for the quilt-along.
Sashing, backing, inner border and binding fabrics:
Not all of the fat quarters will be used in the one quilt. I’ll talk more about the fabric requirements for the QAL this week.
Wow! I would be in love with your mailman if he delivered all of that to my doorstep!!!
