Description

Meeting at the Kennedy Seniors' Recreation Centre, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:30am and 6:45pm, we promote the love of quilting with each other and the community.

The Guild donates quilts to Cops for Cancer, preemie quilts to the Vancouver Children's Hospital and other charitable causes.

The Education program strives to enhance learning with interesting and inspiring speakers, workshops and mini technique classes, taught by members. The Guild members do many "sit and stitches" at community events throughout the Lower Mainland.

As one of the larger Guilds in the Vancouver area, the quilt show, every other year, of member's works is both exciting, inspirational and a major fund raiser. Many of the Guild members have displayed quilts nationally and internationally.

An extensive library of books and magazines is helpful for techniques and ideas. A Block-of-the Month, orphan blocks, tinners, fabric draws and recycling ensures there is an interest for all.
