Not exactly quilting, but it still uses fabric. I really like this shopping bag tutorial.
Before I left Canada for six weeks in Argentina, where I am now, I was trying really hard not to get any plastic shopping bags. I was doing quite well, and will pick up the habit again when I return.
I’ll have to make myself a few of these gorgeous bags, I love how it folds up inside of its self, very clever.

From Quiltmaker, comes this very fun pattern, Just Bugs. This charming little quilt, features a bevy of bugs and other little creatures, and is easy to make with foundation piecing and fusible patches. Sew down the raw edges with a buttonhole stitch and draw the tiny legs and antennae with a permanent-ink fabric pen.

A free pattern from McCall’s Quilting, Sew Much To Do is a sewing-themed wall hanging, complete with an appliquéd pincushion and rotary cutter. Embellish the button jar with your favorite buttons.

From Red Rooster Fabrics, comes this truly specatacular pattern, Arabesque. A little too advanced for my current skill level, but it’s a pattern that made me go WOW.

Here’s a fantastic way to use up charm squares, Charm Square Quilt. You start with a basic nine patch of charms, then cut them down the middle and re-arrange with gorgeous results.
The finished piece looks more complicated than it really is, just don’t tell any of your non-quilting friends and they’ll never know the difference.
