I needed to make three baby quilts, two of them for twin boys. I had a set of 24 sampler star blocks I had made earlier in the year, in Moda Marblemates Dots fabrics. I used eight stars in each quilt, and came up with the Chinese coins and columns stettings, using scraps left over from the stars.

    It was really hard to choose just one from this collection. So many of them stood out because of the personal connection to a child in the life of the maker … the love and thought and care stood out.

    I agree with Nellie. It was SO hard to choose only 5. I loved so many!! A friend asked me, not too long ago, if I could make a couple quilts for her friend. These gave me some good ideas. Thank you everyone!
