I cut out some shapes with my Big Shot and wanted to try stippling with invisible thread around the shapes. I started with a simple block and kept adding until it was the size of a pillow and then quilted it.

I made this quilt in 2000 to celebrate the Millennium. It is one of 12 quilts, one for each month’s holiday/seasonal theme. Inspiration for each design came from memories of the town where I grew up as well as memories of my kids. :-) I love Valentines and hearts, in fact, I’m “Crazy for Hearts”!!!

Hearts was the theme for my daughter’s wedding so for her shower I made her this wallhanging. I did clam shell quilting on this as it represented the top curves of a heart. She loves close by so making this as a surprise was a bit of a challenge, but I did.

This is the result of a very small row robin I was in with my local quilt club. The non-traditional ‘red’ was used to match the accent wall in my living room. There is machine embroidery, free motion lettering, piecing and ‘instant’ applique. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
