brave little pansies By: Glenda Penner, British Columbia, Canada Original design-Brave little pansies bloom almost year round here on the coast. Raw edge applique; such a freeing technique, was placed over a pieced background. I exaggerated the value difference for emphasis and they really show up crisply, even from a distance. We were given one fabric which is the blue inner border with dragonflies on it. We could use no more than 5 other fabrics. Zebras in My Garden By: Anne Deister, Colorado, USA I love all the glorious colors, shapes and sizes of flowers. With all the color, the quilt took on a very luminous, almost stained glass appearance. The black and white accent stripes became the “zebras” in my garden.
