Cathedral Window Quilt

Ever tried the Origami-style of folding fabric?

Here’s a great tutorial on making the Cathedral Window Quilt. The instructions with photos are very well done, and the finished quilt is simply gorgeous using the jewel-toned fabrics.

Wow, this is pretty awesome. We found a box with half finished blocks and now we have a way to finish them! Awesome!

What I need to know is how many metres of fabric does one need to do this? I do not want to start with a bunch of white and then run out and then use another white and it’s not the same. I believe the white part is the most important. How many squares did you make? I will then be able to figure out how many metres of fabric need.

I love this and am so excited to try it. However, I am hoping I can do it all on the machine. I really don’t like hand sewing unless it is crossstich. But so excited to try.
