  • 54-40 or Fight

    Here’s a stunning 54-40 or Fight free pattern from McCall’s Quick Quilts. I love the setting on this quilt… very striking. I just might have to try it myself one day.

  • Scissor Keep

    Not exactly quilting, but I thought this Scissor Keep from Pfaff was really cute.

  • Four fat quarters will yield approximately six blocks, three positve and three negative versions of the Lavender Orchids Block Pattern. Speed piecing is used for the quarter square triangles. The large, open area in the center of the block is a great way to use focal prints!

  • One can never have too many pin cushions. Here’s a cute Pin Blossom Pin Cushion, from Quiltmaker. A great way to use up some left-over scraps.

  • Here’s a very cute Zippered Coin Purse. The tutorial is very well done. What a great way to use up left-over fabrics, and make gifts for family members and friends.

  • Here’s a great stash-busting pattern, Wickedly Easy Quilts by Annie. It uses fat quarters, strip cutting and quick piecing. Sizes include crib, lap, twin and queen. Definitely adding this pattern to my To Do list… I love patterns that use fat quarters and are quick to do.
