Candle Mats

I hope everyone that participated in the recent Candle Mat Swap has had a great experience.

Sharon Vrooman sent me this lovely candle mat. I just love the colours she used and the angled corners. It fits perfectly on my side table in the living room.

Sharon also sent me a few gifts.. a thread catcher, mini pin cushion and some beautiful embroidery threads that I’m looking forward to using soon. Thanks Sharon!

I made four candle mats using two Fruitcake charm packs. I love the colours in this fabric line.

For the quilting, I used an off-white rayon thread and did an all-over, middle-sized stipple. I loved this thread as it added great sparkle to the candle mats.

    I received an early Christmas present from my daughter. Matt number 3 proudly sits in my house, but I am just wondering where the other 3 are?? Having four (greedy Mother) would make lovely placemats as well.
