Love looking at all the wonderful quilts, hard to choose just one!
I love the 8.5×23 inch ruler. Thank you for the chance
I have a ruler that is 5″ x 26″ and I use it the most, it is also one of my oldest rulers
My standard ruler that I love for cutting large pieces is my 6″ x 24″ ruler. It has been getting quite the workout lately 🙂
The Applique quilts Are Awesome! There are so many talented quilters. I have only finished one applique queen size quilt.
Only one size! I have so many rulers. I will have to say my 6×24 and my 12.5×12.5
6″X24″ – couldn’t live without it.
Thanks!
My favorite ruler is 6″ x 24″. It’s the first ruler I bought when learning to use a rotary cutter 30+ years ago. It easily measures a folded width of fabric , and I guess that’s why I reach for it first
My go-to is my 6×24″. i usually start with this and then work down from there……. thanks for sharing
bonnielarson58@gmail.com
Love the versatility of the 12 1/2″ square!
My 6″x24″ is my favorite because I can make long straight cuts. My next favorite is my 9.5″x9.5″ square – I use it most to square up my blocks.
I would like to have a 6″x24″ one, mine is just 12″ and way too short for long cuts, but it’s on my birthday wishlist 😉
And I had to vote for Flora and Fauna. I love Karen’s work, she’s an amazing applique and embroidery artist!
I have 2 favorite rulers, a 6 by 12 and 12″square that are always at my finger tips.
Great give away….. My fav size ruler is 6×12….. Cannot cut and quilt without it. Very handy and great for variety of uses 🙂
My 6×24″ Clear ruler. I like the kind that I can easily see through.
6 x 24 is my favorite ruler. Thanks for the giveaway!
Wonderful quilts… So much personality. I really enjoy voting each week!
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
My favourite ruler is my 6.5″ x 12″ Amazing quilts – the first one I ever bought. Truly inspiring.
I like my 6 x 24 inch ruler the best!
I love the shape cut ruler pro – it cuts 2.5″ strips, so I make my own strip sets and charms too.
HI! LIKE MY 12″ SQUARE RULE BEST!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
My favorite ruler is my Sharon Hultgren 6.5 x 24.5. It has black numbers on it which is easier for me to read when measuring my fabric to cut.
My favorite is 8 1/2 x 24 made by omnigrid. I always feel I have more control when using it. Great when doing larger cuts and not having to use the lines on my mat.
The one I use the most is my 6×24 Omnigrid. I have others that are very useful but that is the one that I would choose if I could just have one!
Favorite ruler is 6 1/2 by 12.
Lovely quilts – I could have used a couple more votes! 🙂 My favorite ruler is my 6.5 x 24 from Creative Grids – it’s got all the measurements I need, some grippy spots on the back built in and a rotary blade sharpener down the cutting edge…
thanks for the chance to win such pretty fabric!
I love Creative Grid rulers and probably use the 6-1/2 x 24 1/2 size the most but also love the 12 1/2 square.
I like my 8.5 x 24 ruler the best.
I use my 61/2″ square and my 81/2 x24″ruler the most I also like my big square rulers.Hard to really choose just one that I like the best. Lovely quilts this week.
I always grab the 6″ by 18″ ruler.
I use my 6″ x 24″ ruler the most. It seems to be the most versatile for me.
I like my 5″ x 24″ ruler. It’s a good size for cutting longer lengths of fabric, but it’s small enough to maneuver for cutting smaller pieces. Thanks for this fun contest every week. I love looking at everyone’s creations.
June Taylor 6×24 is the one I use most often. But my Fave is the Creative Grids Square up ruler. It locks in place on the diagonal seams. Its also great for cutting squares for making my own layer cake sizes or charm.
I like my 4×14″ ruller the best.
It is handy to take when I want to quilt on the go!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Hugs.
I have to say the one I use the most is the 6″ x 24″ – I have worn the edges and grid off one already and I am working on the second!
Thank you, Bear Hollow Quilts & Such, for the chance to wins such great prizes! I use my 6 x 24 inch ruler the most.
6 x 24! Thank you for a chance to win!
The ruler I use the most is the 6″ x 24″ … this is the first ruler I bought when I started quilting many, may years ago. So it’s usually the first ruler I grab.
6 x 24 – it’s the most versatile. Of course, I have “few” other sizes too.
Love my 61/2″ square, the corners are worn out so really need a new one..
I love my 8.5 x 24 inch ruler. Great for wide borders. However, I like most of my ruilers. Each serves a purpose. I am very fond of my Eleanor Burns flying geese rulers. I have made gees many different ways and so far, for me, this is the best method for making geese.
I love all my rulers thanks
6″ squaare by Omnigrid. I use them so often that I’ve worn the marking lines off of three of them. No markings makes them Gwen Marston rulers I guess!
My favorite ruler overall is the 6 X 12. It gives me more control and is easier to pack around when I need to go somewhere else to quilt. Thanks for the chance to enter.
I use my 6 x 24 inch ruler the most, but for trimming small pieced blocks I like my 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inc..
My favourite is 6×12 but I would love a 6×24 inch for those bigger pieces of fabric and for squaring up quilts.
I seem to use my 12 1/2 inch square for a lot of cutting. So adaptable. Love it!
I love my 12 1/2″ square ruler and also my 6″ square. I can use them for cutting and also for squaring up blocks.
My favorite ruler is 6in x 24in.
Hard to choose just one but I would say my 12.5″ square. I love it because you can use it for cutting and squaring up but mostly because its the only one I have in fluoro green and its so much easier to see the lines on almost every colour. From now on all the rulers I buy will be this colour!
Which ruler is my favorite depends on what task I am doing. One ruler I didn’t know I “needed” but now use a lot is a little 3 1/2 x 9 one. Perfect for trimming up paper pieced blocks.
I love my little 61/2″ ruler right now, since I am cutting out a ton of 4″ blocks =)
I love my 4.5 inch square ruler right now.
I use my 4 1/2 by 24 the majority of the time. I like it because it is useful for cutting full width fabric as well as cutting smaller blocks and stripsl
At the moment my favourite ruler is 2 and 1/2 x 12 inches, so useful for many of my blocks I am making.
My favorite ruler is probably my 6″ X 24″ because I use it the most, but I love my 1″ X 6″ too!
I have a Bloc-Loc that is Wonderful when doing HST, but I probably use my 9 1/2 square ruler the most. Love all the quilts this week, so hard to just choose three!
I love my 6.5 by 24 in.
I would say that my 6 x 12 is my most used and thereby most useful!
The rulers I reach for most often are my 6 1/2 by 24, 6 1/2″ square and 12″ square. It depends what I’m cutting, or if I’m squaring a block. I also grab an 8″ square, when the 6 1/2 is just too small. Having a variety really helps.
My favorite quilting ruler is my shape cut slotted ruler because it makes cutting the same size pieces so easy and accurate. I love those charm packs! Thanks so much for a chance to win them!
MGM
I really like my 6.5″ by 24 since I can use it for strips, cutting squares up to 6.5 and trimming. It even has angles so I can do easy angle cuts.
I love the 6 x 12″ ruler it is very versatile and easily fits on a folded fat quarter. I love those moda nickels. I have been looking every where for them to make a quilt with my granddaughter. I hope I win
My favorite ruler is my 24″ quilter’s slidelock ruler. I can use it to cut WOF strips without it ever slipping. Being short, ruler slippage has always been a problem. Not with this ruler. I also use the 14″ ruler, but not as much as the long one. Love em!
My favorite quilting ruler is my 6.5 X 24 inch because it works best for cutting fabric strips.
My favourite ruler is my 8 1/2 by 24 1/2. I can cut so many things without changing to a different ruler.
Barb@Witsend
Can’t work without My 6 x 12″ ruler and runner up is the 12,5″ square ruler.
Love them both!
The 6 x 12 is a really handy size for me. Thanks!
I like my 6 1/2 x 12 and my 6 1/2 rulers the best.
I agree with some of the prior commenters – it really depends what I am doing, but I would say the one I use the most is right by my machine and is 4×6. It is perfect to use when finishing off bindings.
Gosh, I love them all. Straight edge rulers are essential and I couldn’t quilt without them. My favorite exotic is the 12.5 inch square. I love being able to square up my blocks with those rulers!
I use my 6 x 12″ ruler the most, & also use my 9&!/2″ square ruler alot too.
The quilts are all sooooo grrrreat! Hard to pick even “Just” three! 🙂
My favorite ruler is the 12 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. Next is the 24″ x 6″……I generally use Olfa or Creative Grids……I try to stay with the same rulers throughout a project…..
These quilts were all amazing – and my favorite ruler is my 8 1/2 x 12″ – it’s my go-to ruler for almost everything.
My 5″ x 23″ ruler is the one I use the most – it’s great for cutting long borders.
I use my 6 x 12 the most. I have lots of specialty rulers but this one is used on every quilt.
love my 6.5×18 cutting edge ruler for my initial wof cuts … keeps the edge on my cutter longer. and just for the fun of cutting, i love my olfa circle cutter!
My favorite quilting and sewing ruler is my 6″X24″…then my 4.5″X4.5″. Wow those were some amazing quilts..had such a hard time picking my favorites…there so many winners in the bunch! Great work!
I like my 6″x24″, as I use it all the time, and my 2.5″x12″ for smaller bits is very handy. Thanks for the chance!
I generally make scrap quilts and don’t work with many large pieces of fabrics, usually only fat quarters. So, I love my Omnigrip by Omnigrid 18-inch ruler. Also love my Omnigrip six-inch ruler so much that I’ve worn the green grip off the lower right-hand corner. Love all those applique quilts, something that I’ve not done much of.
I guess my fav would be the one I can’t live without– the Creative Grid 8.5 x 24.5. I use it for cutting strips and in a pinch, I can use it for a square up to 8.5 “.
I use a 12 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ Creative Grids ruler most of the time…..when I need a large one, I use my Olfa 24″ x 6″.
I always use my O’LIPFA Lip Edge 5 x 24 Ruler
What’s your favourite size of quilting ruler and why?
My favorite is 6″ x 24″. For some reason I love 6″ wide borders. 24″ is a good length for continuous border cutting (I never piece my borders).
I like my 6-1/2 x 12″ ruler. I think I tend to use it more often, since a lot of my quilts are scrappy. Thanks for the giveaway!
So pretty and it will be hard to choose.
I mostly use my 6″x12″ ruler. I also have a 6″x6″ that I use to square up small HST and small blocks.
The ruler I reach for most often is the 6.5 x 12. All the quilts were beautiful and it was really difficult to choose. Great job everyone!
the one I cant live without would be my 12.5″ square that and 24×6″ are my most used.
My most used rulers are my 6 x 12 and 6 1/2 square. I couldn’t make quilts without them!
My favourite ruler at the moment is my 12 and a half square, as these days I mostly make scrappy quilts for charity, and it’s great to square up the big blocks.
My 6 X 24 inch seems to be the one I rely on most. I can use it for long strips and shorter pieces without having to search for a different ruler.
I use the 6″x12″ ruler most, but my fave is probably the 4.5″ square because that size always means I am cutting out something fun! 😀
Right now it happens to be the 15 degree wedge by Bethany Renyolds as I bought a dresden kit and the fan blades were not accurately cut and I have over 250 of them to trim to size.
I like my 6.5×12″ ruler…I use it most..would love to have a 12.5 square one though..Thanks for the giveaway!
I like my June Tailor Shape Cut Plus plus ruler.
I love my 6 1/2″ square ruler, perfect for half square triangles.
My favorite is the 3″x18″because it is so easy to handle!
My favorite rule is my 6″ x 12″ ruler. It’s the most handy and easy enough to pack. If I want to make larger cuts, I can fold the fabric.
My favourite ruler is still my 10 x 45 cm one, the first I ever used. Please don’t make me calculate the conversion!
These quilts are all incredible–thank you all for sharing. I think my favorite ruler is my 6 x 24″ because it is most versatile for cutting, no matter the width of fabric.
It’s always fun to see a quilt show!!! Thanks for fun from my lazy chair on this rainy day!! They were all wonderful!
I like my new 8-1/2″ x 24″ ruler. I can cut folded widths of fabric up to 8-1/2″ wide and many patterns call for widths wider than the old 6″ x 24″ rulers can handle.
Awesome projects.Congrats to all the quilters. My favorite ruler is my 8-1/2″x8-1/2″.Thanks for the show!
I love my 6″ ruler the most. It saves me so much time when I use it to square up HST and parts of my blocks so they all come out the correct size!
My fave ruler is the 6 by 24 inch– with a sixty-degree line for hexies and diamonds, of course!
I probably use my 6 1/2″ x 24 1/2″ ruler the most. But I do find my
6 1/2″ square one very useful.
6 1/2 x 24″ is my favorite – I also like my 12×12, my 15×15, 6×6….hmmm…I think I like them all 🙂
I love my 61/5″ ruler. It’s so convenient and handy.
The ruler I use most is 6″x24″. It’s great for cutting strips and more.
My favourite ruler is the 6″ x 6″. I use it for cutting small shapes and for sizing up small blocks after piecing them.
My 6 X 24 ruler is my favorite.
I use my 6.5 x 24 and 6.6 square most often.
I might use the 6″ by 24″ the most, but my favourite is the 6″ square. I can’t imagine not having it. I am often working on wee projects with tiny pieces and the larger ruler is over kill. Sort of like peeling potatoes with a butcher knife.
My favorite ruler is also my 6 1/2 x 24 1/2.
I love these quilts, I have not made an applique quilt yet!
6×24 is my favorite ruler. Love the quilts and all the work that goes into the applique.
I like my 6 x 12 ruler 🙂
My favorite size quilting ruler is my 6″ x 24″. I also like my 6″ square ruler.
I’ve already left a comment, but forgot to tell you my favorite ruler. My 6 x 24 in. ruler is used the most, but I also like my 2 1/2 in. binding ruler for cutting strips.
Mine is 3″ x 18″ I use it all the time because its nice and big.
Great quilts! I love to use my 6″ x 24″ ruler every time I use my rotary cutter because it fits the width of the material when I fold the material in half lengthwise.
It was hard to pick this week!
Fave ruler is my 6 x 12. Once WOF is cut I switch to the 6 x 12 because it’s easier to maneuver, yet still covers just about any subcuts to be made. That said, I’ve been using a 3.5 x 12 the past few days and it’s really nice to work with. AND I’m using it on blocks made with Good Morning charm packs! Also Twirl and Ticklish. Love all of the fabrics from Me and My Sister Designs!
My favorite size ruler is 3″ x 18″ but I also love all my rulers! I love this fabric it is so awesome! Thank you for the giveaway!
My favorite ruler is my 6′ one. I use it the most. I have loved all the quilts today…it was very hard to pick!! Great Job to all who participated.
My fav ruler is probably the 12″x4″ …great to travel with and take care of most cuts.
What beautiful quilts!
I would love to be entered in your give-away. I like a 6 x 24 inch ruler best.
I like my 3 x 18 ruler. 🙂
I use my 6.5 x 24.5 the most but I also like a 12.5 x 12.5 and my big 20.5 x 20.5. The little 6.5 x 6.5 is also good. With this set I think you cover all your needs.
My most used ruler was not made for quilting but is 2″x 18″ and speaks my language. (everything in town here is in centimeters)!
loved the quilts this week, what a lot of work in them!Always good to look at the quilts for different ideas and to see what other people like as well. I love my 6.5 inch square ruler best but couldn’t do without any of them really, they make quilting so much more enjoyable and accurate too!!
like this quilts. also my 6,5 inch
Gorgeous quilts this week, I use my 6.5 x 24″ ruler a lot for cutting strips off WOF.
thanks for the fab giveaway – my fav ruler is my 12 x 6 1/2 – its the one I use most often 🙂
My most used ruler is 3″ x 18″.
I LOVE my 3.5″ square ruler, it’s the one I use the most. 😉
Love my 12 1/2 square ruler as our group does a lot of 12 inch finished blocks for the quilts we make and this makes squaring up a cinch.
The quilts in the contest this week are wonderful. The ruler I like the most is my 12 1/2 inch ruler. It allows me to square up so many block sizes the larger one’s always the most fun to do!
6 x 24 is my favorite…Thanks for the fun~! Quilting is so much fun!!!!!!!!!
My favorite size of quilting ruler is 6 1/2 X 24 inches. I can cut really long fabric strips with my rotary cutter with it, as well as even off the selvedges of my fabrics before I cut out something, whether owl shapes for stuffed animals or squares for pieced quilts. It comes in really handy when making my strips of 4″ patch blocks even before I sew them together. I am happy that I bought it because it has saved me time.
Currently my favorite ruler is the 4″ x 14″ as I have been doing a lot of scrap cutting. Could not do without my 8-1/2″ x 24″ and the combination of both is a must for project cutting. Thanks from Judy C in NC
I have several rulers but I mostly use my 12-1/2″ square ruler because most of the blocks I make are to end up 12 inches. Thanks
I love my 6×12 Easy Star and Geese ruler….I use it everyday as my straightedge…I hold the small point with my left hand and use the straightedge instead of a longer ruler…gives me great stability!
BTW…I fold my fabric fold to selvedge!:)
I use my 6 x 24 ruler the most, however, I try and change the ruler to fit the project, so whichever ruler works best for what I am working on, is my current favorite!
Loved all the gorgeous quilts! My favorite ruler is actually a 4 x 14 because it’s easier to manipulate when cutting smaller pieces. Thanks!
Thanks everyone for sharing your applique quilts. I enjoyed them!
My favorite ruler is my 6 x 24 because of its versatility.
I have two rulers I use frequently; 16×60 cm and then 6×12″. That’s because I use both cm and inch. Thanks for this giveaway. Always inspiring to look at all the great quilts here, and difficult to choose a few of them.
I use my 6×24 the most. I have done several BOM and use a 1×6 alot for those little pieces BOMs seem to use!
Beautiful applique quilts, every one! I like my 3 X 24″ ruler the best because I can get a good hold on it when cutting and can easily read the markings on it.
!Son todos unos trabajos preciosos!!!
Rulers are funny things, some have specific purposes and some are general purpose.
The reality is I love & use my 6×24 ruler all day long. It is always at the ready to help me cut into my stash.
Second place would go to specific purpose rulers such as, Eleanor Burns’ Flying Geese rulers & Deb Tucker’s Wing Clipper Rulers – which are indispensable for perfect geese. But I have MANY favorites! Marti Michell’s Perfect Patchwork Templates.
Another used daily ruler: Fons & Porter’s Quarter Inch Seam Marker!
A new ruler I am falling in love with is Sew Kind of Wonderful’s Quick Curve Ruler.
Come on over and let’s play!
Nice quilts this week!
i don’t have any quilt ruler yet 🙁 , just using ordinary ruler
but i like seeing what quilter usually used, but i don’t know the name
I love my very old 6×24 ruler. It was my mothers and I inherited it when she passed away in 2006. I miss her so much, and I remember her each time I use her ruler…which is with every project.
I mostly use the 6.5 by 24 inch ruler but I am finder that my 6.5 square ruler is very handy.
Happy days.
Bev.
Currently, my favorite ruler is The Omni grid 3″ x 18″ ruler. It is very useful for cutting strips for binding. Also I often need something a little longer than 12″, but the 24″ruler is too long !
I love the 6 1/2 in. square ruler. I love making hsts and it’s easie to make them a tad bit bigger than to fiddle with 7/8 in markings, and then square them up. I have found it works with most size patterns.
For general purpose I use my 6 by 24 inch the most. but I am really enjoying learning to use my hex and more ruler from jaybird quilts as i work on my toes in the sand quilt.
I love my 6 x 24 ruler, it seems to be the handiest for most projects.
Que difícil elegir! muchas bellezas .
No tengo nada especial .Solo las reglas comunes de la escuela y una escuadra de dibujo.Todo en centímetros.
My favorite ruler size is 3×18. It seems to work for most projects that I do and it’s so handy!
My favorite ruler is my 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 square ruler. Why? I use it to trim all those half-square triangles, flying geese, etc., so that my piecing is as accurate as can be!
My favorite ruler would have to be 6 1/2 x 24 inches. However I always have a 4 1/2 x 12 real handy.
I have to say the 24″ lipped ruler that I got a garage sale. The gentlemans wife had passed away and he had a tub of all her sewing stuff. There were 3 rulers and a ton of fabric, most of the items I donated to my church. But I did keep the lipped ruler, love it.
I use my 6″ square and my 12.5″ square equally and A LOT, but honestly, I think I’d be lost without my 6″ x 24″ ruler, even though I don’t use it as often.
I have a 15″ square that is my go to ruler for many things. Beautiful array of quilts this time.
6 x 24 is wonderful for me!
My favorite ruler is my 6 inch by 24 inch for cutting width of fabric pieces. It is by far my most used ruler; however, I really like my 6 1/2 inch square ruler when I’m making HSTs. Love the charm packs.
6 inch X 24 inch is used most frequently.
I am a ruler hoarder so it’s hard to pick my favorite but I’d say my favorite is a toss up between my 6’x24 and 3×18.
6×12 is the one I always grab when cutting:)
My favorite quilting ruler is 12.5″ by 12.5″. It is perfect for squaring up all my blocks, though I do love my 6.5″ x 6.5″ for trimming smaller pieces! Thank you for the fantastic giveaway! You rock Michele!
I love the 3×18 I use, It just seems easy to handle. between it and my cutting matt, works great.
Like many others, the ruler that I use the most is my 6-1/2″ square ruler, which is great for squaring up blocks and trimming half-square-triangles.
My fav is the 6×24, always ready to go 🙂
My NEW favorite ruler is Lori Holt’s circle rulers!
3 x 18~ just too handy
I mostly use the 6.5 by 24 inch ruler but my little 6″ square is also very handy.
I love my 6×12 and my 6 1/2 sq. ruler.
Beautiful quilts this week, hard to make choices…
There are so many lovely quilts it is hard to pick. I don”t have a ruler yet.
smjohns63 at yahoo dot com
Loved all the quilts. I love my 24 inch x 5 inch ruler. It gets used the most.
My favorite size of quilting ruler is 6″ x 24″. The 24″ length spans the 44″-45″ fabric when it’s folded in half. The 6″ width gives me plenty of room to lay my hand.
My favorite is my 2.5 x 30 Binding Buddy …. love the quilts and wish I were as talented! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I love my 12 1/2 inch square ruler, it is versatile and I have never cut myself while using it. My 20″ long ruler is more dangerous – ended up in the ER after an errant slice cut off a hunk of my finger.
I enjoyed the quilts as applique is something I normally don’t do myself.
My 6×24 is my favorite because it is so versatile.
I JUST LOVE MY SQUARE UP RULER 12X12 AND MY CHARM SQUARE RULER.BECAUSE I MAKE CHARM QUILT OF ALL SIZES,AND THERE THE BEST.
love my olipfa with the lip edge as it allows me to stay straight!
Awesoome quilts.I love 30x15cm,always handy for everything!
I like my 4X14 because it’s the perfect size for me
I like the 6 x 24.
