Born on the 5th of July By: Sandi, Minnesota, USA I began this piece in 2006 in patriotic colors for my son, born July 5, 1976. I only worked on it when I met with my “Tuesday Crazies” friends. She’s Crazy in the Attic By: Kathy, Virginia, USA In the process of making a apple core quilt, I had these little pieces I couldn’t stand to throw away. I pieced them on 4 inch fabric backing. I then placed them in Attic windows. To make them stand out more I used black piping around each block. It is quilted by machine. Quilt size: width: 35" height: 44" |
I was struck this morning, while reading the quilts’ stories, that half of this show and tell is the quilt and half the story of lives. What a connection this contest makes between quilters. I loved the setting ideas on several, esp., the desire to try quilt as you go. Thank you all for sharing. You are precious.
