Today’s stop on the Between Heaven and Texas Blog Hop tour has us visiting Vicki from Quilting Lodge.
I woke Milo up from a sound sleep when I squealed with delight when I opened the email from Vicki with the photos of her block. I was good and did not pick out fabrics for this block yet, but I will be making it into a wall hanging for my office/sewing room in the near future. You’ll have to check Vicki’s blog to see a few layouts for how it looks in multiples.
Without any further ramble, here’s her block: Seeing Stars. I love her colours, but I’m hoping I have enough yellow & orange fabrics in my stash for mine. Or maybe I’ll dig in my batiks box for something special.
Visit Vicki’s blog to download her Seeing Stars tutorial. Be sure to enter her give-away too to win a copy of Between Heaven and Texas.
Also, I do hope you’ll make an extra block or two to send to Jennifer of Sew Hooked, as she’ll be putting together the blocks into quilts for The Linus Connection. More info here on this charity initiative.
We have a Flickr group set up for you to share your completed blocks and you can follow along on Facebook too.
Tomorrow, we’ll be visiting Melissa and Jake from Generation Q Magazine.
My Winner
I chose my book winner from my block last week. Congratulations to #37 Maryellen. I’ve sent you an email already.
Thanks again for picking my number. I’m really excited about reading Between Heaven and Texas! This block is great, too! Thanks again.
