Frankenstein is a Nancy Halvorsen “Art to Heart” pattern from her book, Acorn Hallow. It was originally for a tea towel, but I used the pattern for a wall quilt and added the word “boo” along with the spider web quilting.

I love Halloween. I loved some of the characters in the fabric so much, I wanted to feature them. So I put appliqued them onto the borders and outlined them in embroidery. Backed in scraps and flannel, it has been the perfect cozy quilt to snuggle on the couch as the weather gets cooler.

Happy Frankenstein is a panel found in my stash from long ago. He’s quilted on Prince Charming (Nolting longarm machine). The buttons came from DH’s 2 grandmothers button boxes. Also trimmed with faux leaves and nuts. I made one for each of my children and grandchildren.

I made this when I was part of a Party With Patrick (Lose) monthly group at a local quilt shop. It hangs outside my front door for the month of October and I have eleven other seasonal wallhangings which I rotate -they each have a sleeve so they are easy to slide on and off the special hanger.

The quilt was completely designed by me, one block at a time. I wanted a table topper and was inspired after eating some candy corn. Some of the blocks are pieced, some are appliqued, and some have a little of both. I made the spider and web with stitching. Lots of good puffy quilting makes me :)

I made this table runner last year. It was a lot of fun to fussy cut the pumpkin blocks. The prairie points added to the fun theme. It is machine quilted and rickrack added to reinforce the zig-zag design. This design is from Better Homes & Gardens Quilting as a square wallquilt.

I had to name this “The Monster Mash” b/c every time I see it, I hear the 1962 song by the same name. The monsters in this quilt were designed by Amy Bradley in her “Happy Halloween” pattern. I chose to raw-edge applique and a blanket stitch & quilted it up myself. Very happy with this one.
