This quilt ended up totally different than planned. It was to be a scrappy log cabin with lots of different appliqued flowers. After I cut all the 1.5″ logs I decided to make the quilt all purple, cream & green. I have all the logs to make another very scrappy log cabin quilt…it remains a UFO.

My favorite ruler is 6″ x 24″. It’s the first ruler I bought when learning to use a rotary cutter 30+ years ago. It easily measures a folded width of fabric , and I guess that’s why I reach for it first

My 6″x24″ is my favorite because I can make long straight cuts. My next favorite is my 9.5″x9.5″ square – I use it most to square up my blocks.

I would like to have a 6″x24″ one, mine is just 12″ and way too short for long cuts, but it’s on my birthday wishlist ;)

And I had to vote for Flora and Fauna. I love Karen’s work, she’s an amazing applique and embroidery artist!

Hard to choose just one but I would say my 12.5″ square. I love it because you can use it for cutting and squaring up but mostly because its the only one I have in fluoro green and its so much easier to see the lines on almost every colour. From now on all the rulers I buy will be this colour!
