I GOT RYTHM I GOT RYTHM
By: stichnRN, Indiana, USA

My daughter wanted an all black and white quilt. She was studying Music Education and I collected music themed fabrics. She loves white tigers, so my fabric isn’t really zebra stripes. My mother’s name was Daisy, so that clinched the border when i found this great fabric. She LOVES it,

Impromptu Impromptu
By: “upstatelisa”, New York, USA

I am in love with black and white fabrics (I have a whole shelf in my sewing room to house my collection!) and log cabin blocks are my favorite. So it was natural that I would combine the two along with my penchant for wonkiness. I added slivers of my hand dyes to spice it up!

Jane's Black and White Quilt Jane’s Black and White Quilt
By: Angie, North Carolina, USA

The quilt was made using Rachel Griffith’s Full Swing pattern, using a variety of black and white fabrics on a Kona White background. I made it for my friend, Jane, who wanted a contemporary quilt to match her black, white, and teal bedroom. I quilted with a large stipple on a long arm at my LQS.

Jane's Quilt Jane’s Quilt
By: P Scoville, New Jersey, USA

Made for our daughter for Christmas. I had all of the blocks nicely laid out when one of our cats quite deliberately walked over them and chose to rearrange a couple of blocks. I left his placement choice. :)

I made quilts for my Grandchildren’s Birthdays and had to make this one for my Olivia! I found the Olivia the Pig Panel while at EXPO in Puyallup. It was fun to mix the panel print with the Blocks made into D9P Pinwheels. The Black and White is accented with red yo yo’s in the center of Pinwheel.

Pool Anyone? Pool Anyone?
By: Mitts, Ontario, Canada

I made the California King and matching pillow shams for my son and his new bride as my wedding gift to them, that was back in 2006. It took three full months working every day on it to construct, sandwich and find a long arm quilter with a machine large enough to quilt it.

Tim's Quilt Tim’s Quilt
By: Dawn Duperault, Missouri, USA

This quilt is the result of a black charm square exchange I participated in with online friends. We traded a solid black, a black print, and a 9-patch. The variety of prints was amazing. I arranged the 9-patches in the center and used the solids and prints around the border.

I found the black and white prints while out shopping with a friend who wanted to make this quilt in a different color scheme. They shouted at me and said, I had to make it in black and white.
It hangs on my rocking chair, ready to cuddle in while reading or doing crafts. I am cozy all winter long
