Crazy Anne Lap Quilt

Here’s a fun lap quilt project from McCall’s Quick Quilts, Crazy Anne. I think if I stared at this long enough, I just might get dizzy. Would look stunning with a black background and bright coloured fabrics. It’s paper-pieced which I love for accuracy.

My Purple Magic Tiles

I made this Purple Magic Tiles quilt for my parents this past Christmas. It’s a Kathleen Bissett pattern, and was pretty easy to accomplish. On the other hand, the binding I did was rather difficult. 2.5″ pieces separated by 1″ black pieces, stripped together. I had pressed towards the black strips, which resulted in a [...]

Colourful Magic Tiles

I took this photo at the Upper Canada Village 2007 Quilt Show. I loved the quilt so much, I bought the pattern that day. It’s a Kathleen Bissett pattern, and wasn’t as difficult as I had thought it would be.

Flannel Blanket

A gorgeous Baby’s flannel blanket created by my friend Lisa Smith. It’s very warm and cozy. I need to make one for myself, in different prints of course. UPDATE: Here’s a tutorial on making your own Rag Quilt.

Quillow

This was my first-ever quilt, a quillow – which is a combination of a pillow and a quilt. Updated: I’ve posted a couple of tutorials on making a quillow. I’ve long since lost my instructions.

Stitch and Flip

I made my first stitch and flip quilt back in 1998/99. I immediately fell in love with the technique and have made, so far, three of these quilts. I kept the first one for myself (pictured), one went to my folks and another went overseas to England. I have tonnes of squares completed for a [...]
