Here is some great information for beginner quilters from Baby Breath Quilts. Learn how to quilt by using the quilting instructions and detailed photographs to help you create the Tumbling Squares Baby Quilt. Not quite a beginner myself, I really like this pattern, the colour combinations are endless.

From Quiltmaker, comes this very fun pattern, Just Bugs. This charming little quilt, features a bevy of bugs and other little creatures, and is easy to make with foundation piecing and fusible patches. Sew down the raw edges with a buttonhole stitch and draw the tiny legs and antennae with a permanent-ink fabric pen.

Here’s a beautiful looking quilt, with very detailed instructions, Sloppy Stars. I love how the stars jump out at you. A great colour combination. This would look fabulous with a black background and bright multi-coloured stars, or even as a scrappy quilt. Oh the combinations!!
