This is my second quilt, made for my parents wedding anniversary. The marine theme came from my parents love of sailing and my own love of the archipelagos of the Swedish coastline. The lighthouse block is to symbolize security, hope and love. The quilt is hand quilted, with waves in the border.

I had a few sailboat and fish muslin pre-printed blocks given me - I remember when a kid we would go to watch the boats race in the summer - and chase the little fish along the shore. I did up the boats and fish, added a lighthouse, and used a sand/shell print fabric for the beach-hand quilted.
