Swap Guidelines
For this swap, you will make one Quilted Fabric Basket that finishes at approximately 15.5″ x 6.5″ x 5″ deep. We wil be following Geta’s fabulous tutorial here: Quilted Fabric Basket. Your finished basket must be made with 100% cotton, quilted and be lined. You can include a small label on the inside if you wish.
You do not have to make the braided design as shown in Geta’s tutorial. You can choose another design or even just have a solid piece of coordinating fabric. You’ll still follow the measurements indicated in the photo below to complete your basket:
A couple of years ago I made these fabric baskets for my niece Lucy’s birthday:
Registration closes April 4th. Partner information will be sent by April 9th. The deadline to mail your Quilted Fabric Basket is May 17th for international shipments (including Canada/USA) and May 24th for domestic shipments. All Quilted Fabric Baskets should arrive at their destination no later than June 1st. If you register to ship internationally, please be prepared to pay for air mail not surface mail.
Anyone not meeting the shipping deadline will not be allowed to participate in any new swaps for an entire year.
It’s a SECRET swap, so please don’t tell your partner who you are in advance , but go ahead and post pictures of your progress on your blog and in the Flickr group.

Gifts: You are not required to send any additional gifts to your swap partner. You may do so if you wish, but keep in mind the partner assigned to you may not send you any additional goodies. Also, be sure to check importing guidelines to the country you are shipping to. Some countries frown upon food being imported.
Please, if you sign up to participate, follow through. It would be a shame for someone else not to get their wonderful Quilted Fabric Basket in the mail.
