Description

The Polar Notions Mini-Bolts are made of solid, acid-free plastic used to wrap your fabric on to create your own personal quilt store. To emphasize their durability, we wrap and unwrap at least 400 times a day during a show using the same mini-bolt. At the end of the show, that mini-bolt is as strong as a new one out of the box.

The sizes are deliberate. The 11 3/4" height allows them to be stored easily in normal bookcases (12" clearance between shelves). Regular file cabinets are a great place to store fabric too. Fabric can also be managed quite nicely just laying them flat on a shelf because the "mini bolt" holds the fabric rigid keeping the fabric from migrating to the back and getting lost. If you use bins, you still can. Taking your fabric in and out is easy. The 7 1/2" width was also by design. When you wrap your fabric around the bolt twice, you have a yard of fabric. Just like the store bolts.
