I designed this quilt to incorporate all the things I love and remember about Christmas as I was growing up. The silver and gold sparkling tinsels and balls, the gothic arches of the stained glass windows in church, the dozens of poinsettia plants & holly garlands everywhere, the ancient tiles.

This is one of the designs I tried several years ago using a stained glass window technique with fusible bias tape. It stayed an unfinished block until now. I am on a quest to complete all my ufo's by January 1, 2010. And completing it in time to enter this contest; certainly is a bonus.

When I saw this Christmas table runner pattern I knew I had to make it, I thought it was so cute. I especially like the tongues around the outer edge that add a nice finishing touch. I hand appliqued the holly and vine and machine quilted it.

I made this Wall Hanging for a quilt Challenge. It has 3 trees that are decorated with rickrack and sead beads and applique stars, the border fabric is Santa with sleigh and raindeer. The buttons in the corners are Christmas striped. I had alot of fun making it.

At Christmas it will hangs in our hallway, underneath will be a table with a small Christmas Tree ladened with sweets for visitors of all ages to choose from.

My sister came across this quilt and pattern in a Christmas quilting magazine about 5 years ago. She loved it so much that I ended up making one for her & then I decided to make one for me. This was my first attempt at paper piecing and boy was it a great lesson with all of those sharp points.

I had found a couple of Christmas XStitch designs and had a few very old ones that my Grandmother had. I decided to finish all of them and make a wallhanging for the holiday.

"Holly Jolly Christmas" is an original design I created using four paper pieced patterns that I created for my website. I wanted a happy and whimsical gift to give friends of ours when we went to their house for a tree-trimming party. I think "Holly Jolly" fits the bill!

This pattern I found in a local quilt store 10 years ago. I loved it immediately, because it's Christmas for me and I love applications with blanket stitches. I finished the wall hanging in half a year. Ever since it has been hanging on my wall every Christmas.

My Christmas table runner is made with an Eleanor Burns' pattern - Night and Day. The fabric has metalic thread shining in it, and I quilted it with gold metalic thread. It is actually much easier to make than it looks. I hope it brings Christmas cheer to all who see it.

This holiday wall hanging I designed to be made by using fat quarters. It hangs from 4 straps that go onto a piece of PVC and a Christmas ribbon goes through the PVC and you tie a big bow from which it hangs. Its a fun and fast project for the holidays.

These soft bodied reindeer were a hit back in the 80's. I made several sets and gave them as Christmas gifts. The set shown here was made for my beautician. They are pictured with her 2 year old daughter to show just how big they are. I put real shoes and socks on the ones I made.

In 2008 I made a Christmas tablerunner for my own mother. This year I've made a tablerunner for my MIL (Mother In Law). She really likes things which are handmade, so this is a perfect present!

Made for our Guild's exhibition's Mystery Challenge. The theme was "Up and Down" and the yellow ric rac had to go on the front. My thought was "you put the Christmas tree up and then you take it down again". Teddy is trying to put the Christmas tree lights on the tree but is getting tangled up!

This is a wall hanging with a vinyl pocket for Christmas cards from a series of Christmas-themed quilts I have designed and made this fall. The quilt is machine appliqued and quilted.

This is a picture quilt that was done in 10 different blocks. When all the blocks are done, they are sewn together to make one big picture. This picture quilt has a combination of applique and embroidery. The design is by Anita Goodesign. This was very fun to put together!

I saw this decoration in a small shop in Cambria,California. We were on our annual summer coastal trip. I fell in love with it and bought the kits to make it. I used my own Chtistmas fabric and scraps for the Yo Yos and face. Isn't he cute?
