Weekly Themed Quilt Contest

Depending on when you read this newsletter, there might still be time to vote for this week’s fabulous Quilted Pillows. Voting ends Sunday at midnight, EST.

The theme for next week’s quilt contest is Scrappy Triangles. Your quilt does not have to be made up of only triangles, but triangles should play a major role in the design. Read the submission guidelines and submit your quilt photo.

The Learning Center

In The Learning Center this week, we wrap up the Studio Organization Series with a post from Pat Sloan on tips for thread storage and some reader questions. We also invite you to share your “After” or “In Progress” studio organization photos or answer the reader questions. We have lots of great prizes to give-away.

For the month of March, the topic will be Quilting: Back to Basics. Pat kicks off the series with the first post on Quilting Terminology that is chock full of useful info.

WANTED: Your recommendations for "Not so basic, but highly recommended, quilting tools". Aside from a rotary cutter, mat, sewing machine and a good pair of scissors, what tools would you recommend for a Beginner? Send me an email, along with a photo or link to the product, a link to your own blog (if you have one), and your recommendation might just be featured in an upcoming Learning Center post.
