Four fat quarters will yield approximately six blocks, three positve and three negative versions of the Lavender Orchids Block Pattern. Speed piecing is used for the quarter square triangles. The large, open area in the center of the block is a great way to use focal prints!

Wickedly Easy Quilts

Here’s a great stash-busting pattern, Wickedly Easy Quilts by Annie. It uses fat quarters, strip cutting and quick piecing. Sizes include crib, lap, twin and queen. Definitely adding this pattern to my To Do list… I love patterns that use fat quarters and are quick to do.

Penny Rugs

A free block pattern, Penny Rugs, from Connecting Threads. I adore the fabrics used in this block. Approx. Finished Size 9″. I am impressed with the Connecting Threads fabrics and Canadian-friendly web site, and plan to order some of their fabric kits when I return to Canada.
