Christmas Shopping Bag Tutorial

With just two weekends left before Christmas, I sure wish I had time to complete this gorgeous Christmas Shopping Bag. The detailed instructions with photos are fantastic. I would extend the handles several inches, as I prefer a bag that I can carry over my shoulder.

Gatherings, Free Scrappy Quilt Pattern

Jan Patek has some lovely free patterns available on her site. I really liked this one called Gatherings. It’s made with scraps of tans, yellows, reds, blues and greens. The finished block is 16″ and the quilt measures 70″ x 86″.

From Compuquilt comes this whimsical Simply Santa quilt. The Santa applique pattern and paper piecing patterns for the trees are included. Just be sure to download each of the PDF files for each section of the project. The finished quilt is 51.5″ x 44″

Free, Quick and Easy Quilt Pattern, Mango Tango

Here’s a very easy and quick project, made exciting by the wonderful choice of bright fabrics. Mango Tango finishes at 54.5″ square. It’s a great pattern to use up coordinated fabric bundles, or make it all scrappy. I love patterns that let me use up my stash!
