It’s Party Time … Let’s Blog Hop!

Welcome everyone to our Giving Thanks – Quilters’ Blog Hop Party. I’m thrilled to have more than 150 quilting bloggers join in the fun and host wonderful give-aways on their own blogs.

If you’re new here to the Quilting Gallery .. welcome! I’m Michele Foster, aka Mishka, your hostess for the blog hop party and owner of this web site. I hope you’ll spend a few minutes checking out the various sections of my site including:

Wait, there’s more….

Quilters' Show & Tell

Each week, I host a Quilters’ Show & Tell event. This week, I’m looking for Thanksgiving Quilts. You have until 6:00 p.m. Friday to enter. Submit your quilt here!

Also each week I’m thrilled to share with my readers a Quilters’ Coupon from one of our favourite online quilting retailers. Don’t miss the 20% off layer cakes sale and a free pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop this week. View the sale here!

I also host quilt-alongs. The first two are now complete and the tutorials have been turned into comprehensive Booklets for sale as PDF files.

Learn to Quilt Booklets

My first Booklet, Breezy Beginner’s Sampler Quilt, is aimed at the true beginner wishing to learn how to quilt. My second Booklet, Aiming for Accuracy, is geared towards an advanced beginner quilter. If you’re confident with sewing an accurate 1/4″ seam allowance and accurate cutting skills this Booklet is for you. (See below, Pat Sloan is giving away FOUR copies of the second booklet.)

Details for my third quilt-along will be available mid next week and will start in January 2014. It’s still aimed at the advanced beginner, but by the time you’re done you’ll be a confident intermediate quilter. The theme for the quilt is Stars and it will finish at approximately 92″ x 108″ … an extra large queen. You can join the Quilt-Along Group on Facebook to find out when the details are available and chat with quilters from around the world.

Lastly, I love to host swaps. While this year’s swaps are already finished, I’ll be hosting an Olympic-themed mug rug swap first thing in the new year. You can join the Quilting Gallery Swaps Group on Facebook to find out when registration opens.

You can keep in touch by subscribing to my weekly newsletter, following my blog or liking my Facebook page.

In addition to this site, I also have my own site to feature my quilt designs, tutorials and patterns called Mishka’s Playground.

Patterns Give-Away:

For my give-away, I’ll choose FOUR winners that leave a comment below to win two patterns of their choice. If you purchase (or have already purchased) my patterns, I’ll refund the winners as needed. View my patterns here! My give-away does not include my Booklets (but see below …). All of my patterns & booklets are available as PDF files that you download instantly.

To enter my give-away: Leave a comment below answering, “Which pattern would you like to win the most and who would you make it for?” I’ll select the four winners randomly on November 27th.

Aiming for Accuracy Booklets Give-Away:

My dear friend, Pat Sloan, is also hosting a give-away of my Aiming for Accuracy Booklet on her blog. She’s giving away FOUR copies to her readers. Again, the same rule applies if you purchase the booklet and then win the give-away, I’ll issue you a full refund.

Head over to Pat’s Blog to enter.
