Quilters’ Show & Tell: Scrappy Triangle Quilts

Quilters' Show & Tell

Hi everyone! The theme for this week’s Quilters’ Show & Tell event is Scrappy Triangles. Submitted quilts should have lots of scrappy triangles, but can have other shapes and/or appliqué in the design too. Unfinished quilts are welcome as well.

Read the Rules and Guidelines and submit your photo before next Friday, February 22nd, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. (EST).

To sponsor a weekly Quilters’ Show and Tell event, please send me an email and I’ll send you the information package. Check available dates here. Sponsors are featured on the voting post published on Friday.

Guest Judges

The guest judges for this week are Susan Guzman from SuzGuz Designs and Wendy Sheppard from Ivory Spring They’ll both have 100 bonus points to award to their favourite quilt(s). I asked them both, what they’re working on, and here’s what they told me…

Susan Guzman – SuzGuz Designs

Susan Guzman

I continue to design and make one quilt a month for McCall’s Quilting and McCall’s Quick Quilts magazines. I just returned from teaching on the McCall’s Quilting School at Sea, a 7-day cruise for quilters taught by members of the McCall’s staff and two designers: me and Gerri Robinson of Planted Seed Designs. The trip was coordinated by Sew Many Places. It was so much fun meeting 121 women quilters and 1 gentleman quilter during our class time. I felt as if I walked away with a terrific bunch of new friends from the U.S. and Canada!

It is a busy 2013 for SuzGuz Designs! I have two upcoming projects that I am excited about and hope to announce, soon. I continue to represent Aurifil threads and am now representing PFAFF and Airlite batting. This summer, I’ll be hosting a Block-of-the-Month that I’ll be embellishing with embroidery threads, and later this year, I’ll be hosting a Pillow-of-the-Month program. There will be more information on each of these programs within the next few weeks on my web site, blog, and through Facebook and Twitter. My Facebook pages are linked to Twitter if you are not a Twitter user.

Wendy Sheppard – Ivory Spring

Hi, I am Wendy Sheppard from Ivory Spring. I had NO idea I would meet and be inspired by the many quilters I have met! It has been an amazing journey being connected with the vast quilting community out there via the Internet.

At any given time (just about, at least it’s been that way for the last 3 years), you will find me working on an upcoming magazine project. Currently, I am working on something using these luscious fabrics.

You can read more about my “already featured” projects – please be sure to check out my growing list of free patterns, offered via various fabric companies.

I am also a stitching fan. I have many projects started, and work on them whenever I get a few minutes. Currently, I am working on some Christmas ornaments as my 4 year old and I are huge Christmas fans. I have 2 out of 12 done.
