Sandy Quilt Block Drive

Hi everyone,

I’m happy to let you know that I’ve re-opened the registration forms for the Sandy Quilt Block Drive. I’ve been in contact with equilter, who are doing the quilt distribution, and they plan to continue the quilt drive for the next few months at least.

Block makers have two to three weeks to send the completed blocks to their assigned team leader. For team leaders, I ask that they complete and send the quilts as soon as possible, with an absolute deadline of end of March.

I’ll keep the registration forms open until the end of January, and will re-evaluate at that time.

I do have an urgent need for two individuals to make 10 blocks each as I’ve had two people that signed up several weeks ago that have not sent their assigned blocks and are not responding to emails. If you can get the blocks done ASAP, please go ahead and sign up, then drop me a quick email to let me know that you can do a rush job to send the blocks to complete the missing ones.

More info and registration here!

I’ll assign block makers as soon as I can once I have team leaders available too.

Barbara H. sent me the following two pictures of the quilt she put together and sent a few weeks ago. I just love it and the back is gorgeous too. I love how she incorporated the labels. Thanks to Barbara and her fellow team members.

If you’ve made blocks or finished quilts, please share in the Flickr group so we can all see them.

Thanks everyone for your continued help and support with this block drive. I know our quilts are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Michele
