I won a pack of fat quarters then shortly after I found on McCalls Quilting Blog a Westward Journey “quilt along” that was perfect for my fabric. I made it a bit smaller. First time I did a scrappy pieced binding and I really like it. I did the piecing, quilting, and binding. Added strips to back.

The pattern is a AccuQuilt pattern that is available on their website. I have the dies for the ribbon shapes and holly leaves; rest of the appliques were hand-cut. Centers of the flowers are yo-yos. Stippling was done in the center of the wreath and areas surrounding the wreath.

I love country colors and this pattern worked so well using all my stash scraps. The wreaths are 2 1/2″ squares. The large blocks are wonderful cranberries fabric. The whole quilt looks quite festive. I wanted to keep it for myself, but i will have to make another one!

This is a Charlie Scott pattern. I saw this quilt while on vacation a year ago and just had to have it. The fabric line is Fruit Cake by Basic Grey for Moda which was discontinued 2 years ago. I was able to get a great deal of the fabric to make the quilt. I’m so happy to have the to snuggle with.
