|A Cute Bag Designed by Ginnie Kelly
By: Ouida Staley,
It has 4 pockets inside but I added 3 extra ones. It has a adjustable strap for shoulder use or over the chest. I used #10 snaps instead of magnet closures as I was worried about my embroidery machine software. Was a fun bag to do.

I picked the design for this tote from one of Jo-Ann’s freebies. I made the handles a little wider and added a flower with leaves for the middle instead of layered circles hanging off the tie. I also added three pockets for the inside. This is my first time entering a contest with my crafty items

This little kitty cat iPhone case was modeled after a friend’s real-life kitten. It’s made out of fleece and flannel and the zipper is where the phone is inserted. I embroidered the face & paws and used reverse applique for the stripes. A band of Velcro keeps it securely attached to her arm.

The modern patchwork design on the bag was done carefully so that both sides are identical. It has a magnetic closure and two inner pouches – one with a zipper and the other with Velcro. The two-sided handles are made with the pink lining fabric one side and patchwork on the other side.

I made this in a craft exchange with a friend and in return got a knitted dissected frog! So cool :) This was from a kit but I don’t remember the details. It was a few years ago and I think I’ll have to dig out the patter so I can make one soon for myself.

By: Marina Bettin,
This bag was created “by mistake”, when I wanted to do a present for my brother’s girlfriend. Inspired on my own bag, after I made the two panels, I realized that they were too short. Then, I decided to add a piece of jeans that I had among my scraps and the rest is history! My best creation ever…

This tote was made earlier this year for a swap. I machine quilted in the ditch around the compass, and it became one of the 4 pockets on this purse. I like my totes nice and big, and I actually made separate sides for it.

I made this bag (pattern by “The Creative Thimble”) that my sister fell in love with and immediately claimed as hers. She has totally worn this one out–plus 2 others. When she asked for a 4th bag, I told her she would have to help me make it and we are currently working on that one together.

My purse, The Phoenix, represents rebirth, renewal and immortality. It is also a very colorful creature of gold, scarlet, purple, blue and green which I translated into my hand painted and dyed fabric.

Blog: Quilting for Sanity!!
This is the Apropos Pack (www.studiokatdesigns.com) I made to enter in the American and Efird Out of the Box Challenge. They sent entrants three spools of thread and a zipper to use in a “quick gift”, and I decided to really showcase the threads, so I quilted this diamond shaped plaid fabric myself.
