The theme for this week’s quilt contest is Flower Gardens. Your quilt can depict flowers or be made using flowered fabrics. Any quilting style is acceptable. You can submit quilts, wall hangings, pillows, etc. as long as the item you enter is completely finished (i.e. bound and quilted).

Simple Stitches

Hi everyone, I’m Julz from Simple Stitches. I started sewing at a fairly young age on Mum’s old treadle Singer, dolls’ clothes, clothes for me and later on clothes for my girls that progressed along until I found patchwork and quilting about 15 years ago…well I was bitten by the bug!

After some encouragement from friends I started popping handmade items onto The Chocolate Crow Trader (sadly no longer around). From there I needed somewhere to showcase my designs and ready-made items for sale, and Simple Stitches was born.

All of the patterns available are my own designs, suitable for beginners and the more advanced. Patterns are available as paper patterns (sent through the post) or as a PDF…love these! Pick your pattern, pay, download the link, print (or just open, saves paper and ink!) and start stitching.

I’ve always got something on the go, either a new doll design or a quick stitchery, or something that takes a little longer. Sneaky peeks usually pop up on the blog!
