By: Jacquelyn McKinley, South Carolina, USA

This quilt hanging was made for my dad’s wife. Fabrics were selected from a Christmas Charm Pack, buttons were used for the face and quilting was done using cookie cutter shapes.

Brrrrrrrr! Brrrrrrrr!
By: Michele Kelly, Texas, USA

We spend Christmas Eve at my parents house and this year my brothers’ soon to be in-laws were joining us. I was informed of this on December 20th! I didn’t have much time! I wanted something thoughtful and would make them feel apart of the family. I used a pattern by Pieces from my Heart.

Frosty Friend Frosty Friend
By: Wendy Bauhaus, Ontario, Canada

I love snowmen and this fellow always bring a lot of smiles when I hang him for the winter. My granddaughter fell in love with him when she was over learning to quilt with me. She is 6 and just kept saying, “I love that snowman Gramma.” Needless to say she has her own Frosty Friend now.

I've Been Framed! I’ve Been Framed!
By: Brenda Sutherland, Ontario, Canada

“I’ve Been Framed!” is my submission to the McCall’s Quilting Quilt Design Star Contest. I love a quilt that is asymmetric and is a bit of challenge to design and assemble.

I wanted everything to be a different size to keep your eyes travelling around the quilt and find something new and differe

Michael's Snowman Michael’s Snowman
By: Ginger Scott, New Jersey, USA

My son, Michael, made a snowman out of construction paper when he was in first grade, 1994. Years later I made a winter wall-hanging that featured his snowman. Trees are rough-edged pieced, then attached. Hand quilted, with metallic thread in the sky. Border has winter themes in quilting.

My snowman My snowman
By: Milka Rajic, Serbia

Several years ago I was given a square panel from a pan pal from the USA, with snowman holding stockings. I didn’t want to make a pillow, so I added a few stars with snowmen in the centers and made this quilt.

I have reciently started creating my own patterns. My husband made the oak rack in the photo and I have been creating a block of the month to display on the rack. I also have designed matching runners. It has been great fun creating all of my designs.

Snowbound Snowbound
By: Agatha, Italy

Snowbound was a free BOM by Bunny Hill last year. It was the first time I took part in a BOM. The appliqués are hand-sewn.
I love Snowmen. They remember me my childhood. They make me happy.
You can see more details in photos posted on my blog.

Snowman Snowman
By: Jenice Allred, Utah, USA

I wanted to create a snowman quilt and use snowball blocks as the border. The snowman has fusible fleece behind it then I machine quilted circles all over it to give it a snowball effect. This is my first quilt where all of the quilting was free motion and my own design.

Snowman Quartet Snowman Quartet
By: Sandi A., Minnesota, USA

This little quilt is one of twelve small quilts that I designed and made in 2000 to celebrate the Millennium. I had a friend who played in a flute quartet and so these are four singing snowmen…a “Snowman Quartet”. :-)

Those Freaking Snowmen Those Freaking Snowmen
By: Nancy Cohen, Massachusetts, USA

I bought this pattern as a row by row at a local quilt shop. My friend Marion bought one too. We worked on this project for at least three years at every quilt weekend we went to. Apparently we used a lot of colorful language while cutting out the pieces. Our friend Joan thus named the quilt.

Tommy's Snowman Tommy’s Snowman
By: RangerAnna, Ohio, USA

My son Tommy picked out the colors for this Big Guy. I purchased and pieced this pattern (and woefully lost the instructions and creator’s name!) and it was machine quilted at The Corner Quilt Shop in Wauseon, Ohio. He brings cheer to our dining room every winter!

This is a very popular and prolifically reproduced Meg Hawkey/Crab Apple Hill pattern. It is super fun to make, was ‘tweaked’ a bit to personalize it, beautiful to display! Meg has the greatest sense of whimsical humor!
