Mug Rug Inspiration and a New Swap
Are you ready? It’s time for a new swap! For this swap, we’ll be making TWO mug rugs to send to our secret partner. What’s a mug rug? It’s a mini, mini quilt that finishes at approximately 10″x6″. The perfect size for a mug and some cookies.
This swap has been inspired by Ryan Walsh’s Dresden Wedges Mug Rug Tutorial:
You can use Ryan’s tutorial or come up with your own design. Be creative and have FUN! Mug Rugs are addicting and perfect for using up left-over fabric from other projects.

I realized this will be my third swap with you! I enjoyed the Posie Needlecase swap, too, and then the candlemat swap. I am ready to sew mug rugs as soon as I get my partner. :-)

I recently made a set of 4 mug rugs for myself and I find myself using them all the time. I have one by my computer, one by the tv, and the other by my sewing machine. The last one is not into service yet.

Thinking of tea, I have the perfect fabric, I wonder… If my partner likes tea, I´ll use it!

I’m addicted, before Christmas I made over 2 dozen, some in sets of 4 to give as gifts. They are so cute.
I’m all signed up – I haven’t made one of these yet – but have a few ideas already spinning in my little mind!
Ive just ordered some neat coffee themed fabrics from Fabric Shack hope they only take a week to get here ! I will have a practice run with some thing I already have …So cute

Perfect timing, just signed up. All packed and ready to work on this project while at a 3 day quilt retreat at beautiful Birch Bay, Francois Lake, British Columbia.
I wanted to participate. Waited till I got home from work to register and now it’s closed. Deadline said 1/18. Did I miss a time cutoff? Sad that I’m not going to get to participate.
I tryed 3 times to get register guess I missed out..Hopefuly next time.
Yikes….missed the deadline to sign up… Will you be doing this again…Hoping so….
