Mug Rug Inspiration and a New Swap

Are you ready? It’s time for a new swap! For this swap, we’ll be making TWO mug rugs to send to our secret partner. What’s a mug rug? It’s a mini, mini quilt that finishes at approximately 10″x6″. The perfect size for a mug and some cookies.

This swap has been inspired by Ryan Walsh’s Dresden Wedges Mug Rug Tutorial:

You can use Ryan’s tutorial or come up with your own design. Be creative and have FUN! Mug Rugs are addicting and perfect for using up left-over fabric from other projects.

Pam made these three mug rugs using a panel of coffee mugs:

I recently made a set of 4 mug rugs for myself and I find myself using them all the time. I have one by my computer, one by the tv, and the other by my sewing machine. The last one is not into service yet.
