A Little Village A Little Village
By: Rachel, Indiana, USA

My Little Village Tablerunner was a belated Birthday present for my great sister-in-law. It’s made from three houses and a tree that were all pieced. The three stars were then appliqued on top. The whole runner is free motion quilted in a loopy fashion.

A Table runner for the Holidays A Table runner for the Holidays
By: Julie Fukuda, Japan

Looking at what my blogging friends were doing in preparation for the holidays, I felt the time had come to get in the mood myself.
This simple runner is made from scraps saved over many years. Even the batting was pieced from leftovers. The biggest challenge was quilting with sparkly thread.

A Very Merry Runner A Very Merry Runner
By: Lindy, Washington, USA

I loved the happy winter trees fabric! I did the ‘flapping in the wind’ flat fold trim between the center and border fabrics. Pointy ends take a runner from country to elegant. Happy Holidays, everyone!

I designed this as a paper pieced project that I taught at our local quilt shop. I have a niece that fell in love with it so I gifted it to her a few years ago. The final quilt had tiny yellow buttons sewn on for the center of the poinsettias, of which I didn’t get a photo of.

This was sewn as “all in one” technique meaning sewn and quilted binding sewn on all at once on a mid arm machine. This is the first table runner I completed using this technique, so it was a test run sample ;-) Can’t wait to try some more hopefully as gifts for Christmas.
