Fun Quilty Finds

Below are some super cute projects and tutorials for you to enjoy!

Here’s a simple and inexpensive way to organize your bobbins with the Sassy Crafter’s DIY bobbin organizer. Would make a great stocking stuffer.

Felicia took the above tutorial one step further by using pinking shears for her bobbin organizers. These are just too cute!

Fabrics N Quilts has put together an excellent photo binding tutorial.

Want to add some jazz to your binding? Trisha shares how she made faux piped binding in an excellent photo tutorial.

I just adore Ashley’s Starburst Block. You can see a finished quilt with this block here and more fabulous tutorials from Ashley here.

An excellent gift idea is a warm and cozy rag quilt made easy with Fabrics N Quilts photo tutorial.

Byndee’s from Australia has created several excellent quilting videos, including how to make a Quillow.

There’s still lots of time to make Cheryl’s Angelic Appliquéed Christmas Tree Skirt for this year’s holiday season.

Of all the blogs I read, Erin Russek has taught me the most over the last year. Her applique tutorials are fantastic. She’s recently started to do video tutorials and they too are really great. I’m using the techniques described in her two most recent videos: applique petals and stuffed circles for a row robbin I’m participating in that will be filled with mutli-coloured daisies. Go to Erin’s YouTube channel to see all of the videos in one place.

I love this page. Went to the hardware store and got tubing for the bobbin holder and spent 2 hours reading Erin R.’s blog. Love the info in the other blogs too.
