Weekly Virtual Quilt Contest: Earth Day (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)

Congratulations to Roxanne from Ontario, Canada for winning last week’s themed quilt contest, Scrappy Quilts, with her wonderful Family Quilt. Roxanne wins two Authentic dessert rolls from Jojo’s Quilt and Gift Shoppe.
This week’s theme is Earth Day (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and is sponsored by Amanda Herring of The Quilted Fish. Be creative with this theme: enter quilts that represent Earth in some way, or that reuse/recycle fabrics and other embellishments, etc. It’s wide open to interpretation. To enter, read the rules and guidelines, then submit your quilt photo. Voting will start on Friday and last until Sunday night.
The Quilted Fish
Hello everyone! My name is Amanda Herring and I am The Quilted Fish. I am thrilled to be sponsoring this weeks Earth day contest. Since Earth day is about being green, I picked a fat quarter bundle (24 fat quarters!!) that is loaded with green fabrics to be this weeks prize! It is called Wheels by My Minds Eye for Riley Blake Fabrics.

In honor of this week’s contest I am offering a special discount on my website of 25% off of your entire purchase! Just enter the code Earth at checkout.
I think you will find lots of fun stuff you will want to make including Piece and Quiet (a children’s quiet book pattern), Pigs in a Blanket (fabulous and easy slipper pattern), and lots of great quilt patterns. There will be even more patterns coming soon, so you will want to stop by often! Not to mention I will also be debuting my first fabric line, Sweet Divinity for Riley Blake Fabrics, very soon. It will be arriving in stores in September, but you can see it on my website and blog before then. See you there!

Please share the logo below on your own blog. The more contestants, the more exciting the contests!

There are still a few weekly sponsorship opportunities left this year. Please contact me if you’re interested. It’s a fabulous opportunity to showcase new notions and fabrics.
