Well, I live in the Netherlands and most of the dutch doesn’t have the habit to celebrate xmas with giving eachother presents. (allthough some do) In my family we do celebrate it with our family(grandma, uncles and aunts, grandchildren), staying both days together, making a nice dinner together and chat and laugh a lot, playing games etc etc.
In the Netherlands we have our “Sinterklaas” (a bit like santa claus) at the 5th of december. That is a real childrens celebration with presents and poems.
So that”s why I doesn’t make any xmas give away quilts (or anything else) but I do hope that I still may join the give away for those beautifull totepatterns!!!

Everyone on my list is getting a tote bag this year. Some will have applique designs on them, some embroidery stitcheries, some paper pieced. They will all be personalized for the recipients, too. There are so many fun fabric prints that I’ll be able to find just the right fabric for each project and person on my gift list.

  114. Rian says:

Hi, I have not started yet, because I am not used to it. I come from Holland, and there we know Sinterklaas (sort of Santa) at 5th December. At that day we celebrate his birthday. Children believe that he brings gifts for them if they are sweet. When they grew older family choose to celebrate Christmas with gifts, but there al also families who choose to give gifts at 5th December. They mostly make suprisepackages and poems.
I have not started yet because I am still busy with my bag swap.
But I would like to win something.
