Collage Mania Starts Today and a Quilt Raffle

What's for Dinner

Collage Mania, a Fiberart For A Cause fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, opens today (Tuesday, May 5) at 10 a.m. CDT. Check out the Collage Mania Preview post from last week. There is an official clock on the first page of collages.

The image on the right is What’s for Dinner by Sherryl Buchler (9.5″ x 7.5″).

Choose from 383 fiberart collages (many of them small art quilts) donated by 161 artists from around the world. Each artwork is finished or mounted to 8×10″. Today’s minimum donation to the American Cancer Society is $80; the minimum donation drops to $40 on May 6 and 7.

Read the detailed instructions on how to acquire collages.

The goal is to raise at least $20,000 for the ACS in just three days.

Another worthy cause, a quilt raffle by Wendy’s Warriors. They too are raising funds for the American Cancer Society. The Thimbleberries quilt is 56″ x 66″. You can purchase raffle tickets online for just a $1.

  1. Thanks for the great post! What is it about quilts and fundraising? They just seem to go together.
